All this month, we’ve been tracking the National Home Ownership Matters Bus Tour! A trip that’s all about the American Dream…its joys and its challenges.

The final stop on the tour was the Pacific Northwest City of Portland, Oregon! Just 70 miles from the Pacific Ocean, the tour rolled in to a city that takes ‘being green’ to a whole new level. It’s a city built around the concepts of mass-transit, walking – and lots of fun.

A very busy and very successful month for the Home Ownership Matters Bus Tour…a journey designed to remind the people of America about all the wonderful benefits associated with owning your own home. And also designed to reminding the lawmakers of America – that those benefits need to stay in place, and that home ownership needs to remain a priority for our nation – now, and into the future.

All this month, we’re tracking the National Home Ownership Matters Bus tour! A coast-to-coast journey by THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® designed to celebrate the American Dream.

The latest stop on the tour was the mile-high city of Denver, Colorado, where, after crossing the Great Plains, the tour stopped in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains. The Centennial city, as Denver is known, is home to a unique mix of the old west and the new world. But the tour found that home ownership is a cherished part of Denver’s past, present and future.

Next stop? Portland, Oregon!

The tour will be in Portland next weekend…on Saturday, March 26th, at the Portland Home and Garden Show. That’s at the Portland Expo Center.

And if you’re anywhere near Portland next weekend, we’d love to have you stop by!

Just like in our first two stops, in Chicago and Denver, we’ll be talking about Real Estate, listening to what’s on your mind, and congratulating more lucky winners of the Lowe’s gift cards.

You can’t miss us, just look for the great big tour bus with ‘Home Ownership Matters’ on the side of it, a rolling tribute to the American Dream!

And of course, as the THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® national Home Ownership Matters bus tour rolls across the nation, we’ll cover every stop, every week – right here on Real Estate Today.

The Home Ownership Matters Bus Tour hit Chicago this weekend…and the great big bus pulled up at the Chicago Home and Garden Show at the Navy Pier.

Just the first stop in a tour that’s meant to spark a nationwide dialogue…about the benefits of owning a home. A dialog that will be heard on the bus tour, here on Real Estate Today Radio, and also, in the halls of the executive and legislative branches of government.

People who dropped by in Chicago had a chance to meet the THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® president-elect, Moe Veisi, whom you’ve heard from plenty of times here on Real Estate Today.

Also, on-air personalities from the Chicago area emcee’ed the event, and spun some upbeat music as well.

And some of the people who came by to visit proved to be mighty lucky – because they put their name in a hat, and left with gift cards from Lowe’s, including the grand prize – a $2500 gift card, which will certainly go a long way towards adding value to their home, this coming spring.

Now that’s just the first stop! After that, we’ll be in Denver on March 19th at the Denver Home Show, at the National Western Complex.

And then, in Portland, Oregon on March 26th, at the Portland Home and Garden Show. That’s at the Portland Expo Center.
